Working together

Fifty-minute sessions, online or in person.

We'd start with a free intro call, a few minutes to talk through what's brought you here. After that, a 50-minute consultation gives us time to think together about what would actually suit you. You can stop at any point along the way.

Three ways of working

Ongoing therapy

For work that goes deeper over time. Space to notice the patterns you keep running into, make sense of what's underneath them, and find a different relationship with yourself as a parent.

Short-term work

Usually around six sessions on something specific: a decision you can't seem to make, a transition that's knocked you sideways, or something you keep circling back to.

Single sessions

Sometimes you just need one honest hour to think something through out loud. One session, nothing to commit to afterwards.

Practicalities

Where
In person in Forest Hill and East Dulwich, South East London, or online from any private space that works for you.
When
Every session is 50 minutes, usually the same time each week. Weekday daytime and evening slots.
Fees
From £90 for 50 minutes. I keep a small number of low-cost spaces, so just say so when you get in touch.
Babies and privacy
Babies are welcome in the room. For online sessions we both need somewhere we won't be overheard.

Questions people ask

Can I bring my baby?
Yes, of course. If getting here means bringing your baby, bring them. The session is still yours.
Is this only for mothers?
No. I work with whoever is doing the parenting: mums, dads, non-birthing parents, single parents, step-parents and LGBTQ+ parents.
Is it couples therapy?
No, I work with one parent at a time. The relationship still comes up constantly.
What actually happens in a session?
You start wherever you are, I listen closely, and we follow what keeps coming up. No agenda and nothing to prepare. Silences are allowed.
How long until I feel different?
Most people feel some relief after the first honest hour. Real change is slower and messier than that, and I'd rather say so than sell you a timeline.
Is it confidential?
Yes, with the usual exceptions around risk to you or someone else. I'll talk you through all of it at the start.

Still deciding? That's all right.

You don't need to have it worked out before you get in touch. The intro call is free, and there's nothing to sign up to at the end of it.
